It depends on what kind of web site you have. If it’s just your personal blog then the quality of pictures is not that important. The more amateurish your blog is (in terms of pictures and video) the more your fans will feel connected to you. But if your site is a membership site where your members pay for subscription every month to access your content then the quality should be really good. You’ll need to hire professional photographer to shoot pics and video for such a site

Hi , My problem is I have no one to take pics of me for my own website. I have a digital camera & a tripod, but it only takes 2 shots at a time. I can use splitcamera for multiple self timed pics, but would those be good enough for a website?

Yes, contact me through my Contact form. I would advice you to start just with blog. Once it grows you can turn it into membership site. It's much easier to manage and promote just one site then multiple, trust me!
