I have operated my own adult network in the early naughties, and have mentored cam models, published an online guide, directed live shows, acted as chat moderator and marketed models. My experience is that models earn more and earn faster giving it away live in rooms full of beggars and the otherwise obnoxious. The reason is this: dirty talk and demands by audience members help get everyone heated up to fever pitch. And the tokens flow naturally, without being demanded. More join the room when a live show is in progress. And beggars are notcalways beggars.. They might not have tokens today, because they have spent them. But they will buy tokens and spend tokens with models who are not hustlers and who utilise the services of real room moderators and not prudish bullies who are clueless about just what is going on in the chatroom. How many wannabe models give up after one or two sessions? How many do you see sat bored out of their minds and texting/calling friends waiting for an audience to build and to get tokens? How many do you becoming ever more desperate and demanding? They give up because the advice they have been given is bogus and is what’s holding them back. Rooms take a long time to fill because they aren’t doing anything. Then of course, rooms empty as soon as a private show is ordered.. And typically the payer cannot afford a lengthy session to make up for the loss sustained by the model. The model becomes frustrated, desperate, demanding and unattractive. How many do you see constantly interrupting her show to answer her audience by text in the room or in private? That also kills the mood. How many hypocrites do you see plastering copyright notices and warnings on their profiles in an effort to protect their own images, whilst happily stealing audio and video works owned by other people and rebroadcasting it? Room moderators should be protecting their models from the danger of their model’s own copyright theft(by warning their model), ramping up the heat in the room and encouraging tips by encouraging the dirty talk (after all, these venues are for adult sex shows – not children’s tea parties) and answering the queries raised which might otherwise distract their model.
